Innovative Approaches to Get You Back in the Game
Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just someone who likes hitting up the gym, a sports injury is bad news. It can keep you from training and competition and leave you feeling stalled in your progress.
While traditional methods of sports rehabilitation (like therapeutic exercise and manual therapy) have their place, many athletes benefit from a more comprehensive approach. At Hands of Hope, we offer several advanced techniques that go beyond basic rehabilitation, helping you get moving again in a way that works for you.

Why Sports Injuries Need More Than Standard Care
The term “sports injury” encompasses a wide range of concerns, from a mild case of tennis elbow to a total ACL rupture that requires surgical repair. But even less severe injuries can limit your strength, mobility, and confidence. Worse, if you don’t rehabilitate them properly (and that includes those minor, nagging aches you think you can push through), they may cause long-term problems.
That’s why our integrated approach is so effective. Recovery isn’t just about eliminating your pain. Rather, it’s about restoring function, preventing future injury, and rebuilding strength so you can return to your sport with confidence.
And at Hands of Hope, we offer several avenues to help you accomplish exactly that.
Exercise of the Month
Hip Slides
3 Sets, 10 Reps (each side). (Materials needed: floor mat)
Start in a tall kneeling position with both knees on the floor and your hands resting on your hips. Shift your hips slowly to one side as if you’re trying to reach your hip toward your heel, then return to center. Repeat on the other side, moving in a smooth, controlled motion.

Unique Tools for Faster, Safer Recovery
Advanced Pain Management
Treating a sports injury often starts with pain management. We offer several advanced options that can help alleviate pain so you can focus on rehabilitation, including:
- Corticosteroid-based trigger point injections to release points of restriction in your muscles and connective tissues
- Steroid- and non-steroid-based joint injections to reduce inflammation in an affected joint, allowing for better mobility during recovery
- Nerve blocks to provide targeted pain relief if needed
Ultrasound Therapy
This noninvasive treatment uses low-energy sound waves to boost circulation and promote healing in tendons, ligaments, and muscles. It also helps reduce inflammation and alleviate pain and mobility restrictions.
Shockwave Therapy
This is another noninvasive option. Like ultrasound therapy, it uses sound waves to promote healing, although shockwave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to jumpstart your body’s natural healing processes at a cellular level.
It’s particularly helpful for stubborn injuries, such as chronic tendon pain or muscle strains that aren’t improving with standard therapy.
Wearable Technology
We use devices like biofeedback and motion sensors to help measure real-time performance, allowing us to adjust your treatments for maximum improvement.
IV Therapy
We offer a full menu of IV vitamin infusion options, many of which are beneficial to athletes. For example, our Performance Hydration blend is designed for athletes and helps restore essential fluids and electrolytes lost during intense activity or injury recovery. We also offer immune-boosting infusions to help your body recover from stress, overtraining, or post-surgical healing demands.
ACL Injury Prevention Program
Sports injury prevention is also a key part of sports injury treatment, and we offer a specialized program to prevent one of the most common (and most serious) sports injuries: ACL tears.
This program focuses on improving motor control, balance, and coordination, strengthening stabilizing muscles, and teaching safe movement patterns so you can avoid ACL injuries altogether. It’s especially valuable for athletes in high-risk sports like soccer, basketball, and skiing.
