Hands Of Hope Physical Therapy
Joint replacement physical therapy can help people who are limited in their daily lives due to joint pain from all types of arthritis. Physical therapy plays a key role in the rehabilitation of people who have received a total joint replacement of the knee, hip, or shoulder.
Patients will start physical therapy immediately following their surgery in the hospital. Treatment often includes gentle motion in the replaced joint’s surrounding areas and progressing from a walker to a cane. All joint replacements will initially focus on regaining normalized motion and strength. Your physical therapist will also provide guidance on any therapy restrictions you may have.
